Ok, I have a 16hp that I'm waiting for the new rings to come in. After the ring job, I was thinking of swapping some engines around. I was going to put the 16 in the Landlord, with the 26 inch tires, for the 42inch blower. I was going to take the 9hp from the Landlord and put it in the B112 that I converted from veri to hydro. "I post pictures tomarow" My concern about the 9hp in the B112 is, will it be enough power for the hydro trans, hydro lift, and deck or blower. What do you guy's think?

Elon, IMHO 9 hp isn't enough for a hydro and deck since the 7.25 hp in my B-1 strained its guts out with a 42" deck in heavy grass. Think the hydros take around 2 (+/- a little) hp which leaves 7 hp to do the work. 9 hp will work but I would want more power. Others may see it differently,

I'm going to keep the 23d in case I ever want to put it back to original. I may just keep the 12 that is in the B112 now. The 16 mite go in the 3012 hydro project. I will have to look for something for the Landlord. I just don't think the 9hp will work great with a 42 blower.

Elon, Just picked up a 12 to do the same thing for mine and am keeping the 23D just in case. After looking at the 12 it seems that there may be a problem fitting in the engine ---as to the grille assy. Not sure and haven't measured yet--but am planning to make it fit. 1) promised my wife the purchase of THIS engine was going to solve the previous reliability problem and at least get ONE of them running and even more important 2) see #1 Hoping its not much of a project either in time or $$$$

Elon, I don't think a 9hp engine would be able to run with a hydro and then an implement on top of it. Maybe a mower, maybe that'll work but it'll be strained. With my old 3310H, with hydro, it had a 10hp engine, and when the mowing deck was off, that tractor drove really fast. But with the deck running, I could see a big difference. The engine didn't really like it and was laboring hard to keep running. I cringe when imagining trying a snowblower with it. My personal opinion, would be to put the 16 hp with the hydro. You lose 1.5-2 hp with a hydro transmission, so you'll have 14.5 to 14 hp free and clear after the transmission has gobbled up the 1.5 to 2hp.
