Belt for thatcher on 917?

Recommended Posts

Hi Bought a revitalizer off of Smiling Sam. He had it on a 712 and I put it on my 712........no issues. Now I put it on my new 917, but the belt is too short. I can figure all this out tomorrow at the parts store, but if anyone has ever done this and knows a belt brand/number it would be appreciated. Thanks

The belt# For the 38" revitilizer is 105340 for the 700 series. It calls for the same belt for the 900 series as the 700 series. That is also the same belt as is called for on the 36" tiller on the 700 series. The 900 series uses the same belt for the 36" tiller as the 700 series. The new belt# is 2105340 Length 96.1" Type HB

Maynard, Where do you come up with these belt lengths all the time. I assume there's a guide. Searched but couldn't find it.

Simplicity's Belt and Blade ready reference manual. There is one on ebay right now. I downloaded 2007 edition of it from simplicity's site before they shut access down. Simplicity has changed all of the belt numbers. Most are the same with a 2 add to the front, IE old belt# 105340 is now 2105340 but some have changed completely.

Thanks. The one thats on it is not a Simplicity belt. Looks a bit narrower than what it should be as it sits in the pulleys. When I threw a tape on the outside of it, it's about 94". So I bet the "right one" will work just fine. Imagine that!
