I know this auction shows how far this hobby has gone, and how expensive it could possibly get(or has already gotten). Seems a little high. But if motor is in good condition you are still getting mor for your money than you can if you buy a MTD. Looks like a clean tractor.

I believe that was a 7 day auction, allowing buyers who might be interested enough time to notice. Another factor could be location. The buyer may have been local. The price really escalated during the last 2 days,especially the last hour, and the eventual buyer only made one bid, the winning one. Good deal for the seller. Grandpa would be proud. Tacey

I feel bad about this one. A guy I work with was looking for a tractor to move dirt and mow with around his new home. I showed him this one. I told him $750 would be a good price. He was Bidder3. He said it was just what he wanted, mower, blade, and trailer. Now I am trying to locate another for him within a few hours of here. He had family near that one so he could have picked up the tractor on a trip to visit relatives. I couldn't believe the tractor sold for that much.

I bought my Simplicity tractor on e-bay last year and I've been tracking them ever since. Anything near the east coast goes for about 50% more than what they're going for in the Midwest. I see tons of simpliciitys for sale for $300-$500 out west. Those same tractors will go for $500-$800 in the east.

I purchased my 3112V with 48 inch deck new in 1969 and paid $1100.00 for it taxes included. Probably best investment I ever made. Still using it and runs as good as day it came home with me. Prices have sure gotten out of hand.
