DDP021 0 Posted April 2, 2007 I'm looking for some information on the Hydrostatic Transmission used on the 900 series tractors. The one I have also has the hydraulic lift. Thanks!

DDP021 0 Posted April 11, 2007 Do you know where to find any detailed information on how they are built? (ie Service Book or manual)? Basically a parts breakdown.
gregc 3 Posted April 11, 2007 Here's a parts manual for the 7100 Hydrostatic Series same as AC 900 Series: http://www.simplicitytechpubs.com/6767PRINT/PDF_files/TP_400_0843_04_SV_S.pdf

DMedal 1 Posted April 11, 2007 is there any difference in the transmission between Hydro lift and not? Just the plugs? -Don
HubbardRA 19 Posted April 11, 2007 Duckman, the trannys are the same. The checkvalves (that regulate the pressure in both the tranny and hydrolift) are different. If you need a list of the different parts needed to hook up a hydrolift, PM me and I'll send the information. I put a hydrolift on the Sunstrand in my 716H. These tractors did not come with a hydrolift. I found out the differences by looking up a 7100 w/o hydrolift and one w/hydrolift and comparing the differences. DDP021 0 Posted April 12, 2007 Rod, could you send me that information as well? The one I am working on now has a hydro lift but I have another with a manual lift and would like to convert it. Thanks.

DMedal 1 Posted April 12, 2007 Ron- you say play with the shims to get the desired pressure. What pressure did you measure? That is, what is typical? Thanks! -Don
HubbardRA 19 Posted April 12, 2007 I was told by another member that the maximum pressure is 800 psi for the hydrolift and I think the tranny is about 250 psi. I would go for about 750 on the hydrolift, myself.
Al 6 Posted April 12, 2007 Hi, I believe the hyd lift units also use a charge pump that has a thicker gerotor. This increases the volume of oil it pumps. Will work without it, but may affect hydro response when using the lift. Also the lift will be a little slower. Al Eden
