MarksA-C 93 Posted April 3, 2007 Hello everyone! I need to know how I can get the oil out of a hydrostatic tranny. I took off the oil filter and though that most drained, but there is still alot in there. This is for a 6500 series tractor. Thank You!
BLT 725 Posted April 3, 2007 Mark, not knowing what you have exactly, download this operators manual and go thru it, 1691468 . By carefully looking thru it you'll see the transmission's capacity and more pages will probably get you to the drain plug. I didn't go thru book totaly, but I will bet you'll find the answer. Edit: I wnet thru the book and I think your answer is there, whatsmore your drain is rather unique and hard to explain. Check me out and tell if I got the brass ring.;););)
quantico 2 Posted April 6, 2007 There are two plugs on the sides of the eaton 850 transaxle that come out to drain the hydro fully, or as much as possible... you will want to change the filter and put new 30 weight oil in there...
