Chris727 2,137 Posted April 6, 2007 7100 has a little bit different frame and running boards and hood. I believe the frame is longer on the 7100. The 7100 also has a smaller gauge frame in the front, but it wrapped under to give more strength. The 7100's were also first to have kohler twins as an option and a hydraulic lift operated off the hydrostatic transmission. The 7100's also used a different steering wheel. UCD 14 Posted April 7, 2007 The biggest functional difference is the mid PTO to drive front mounted attachments.
BLT 725 Posted April 7, 2007 Wheelbase on 7000 series is 48.1" and on the 7100 50.7". That much might have been needed to accomodate the Kohler twin engine along with the hydraulic lift.
