B1 Paint and decals

I was looking for paint for an Allis-Chalmers B1. Preferably in a spray can if possible. Also the best place to obtain a set of decals. Thanks!

Unfortunately there is not an exact match available in a store bought spray can. Decals can be purchased from several sources. One is Wells Implement www.wellsimplement.com or from Tony Gilleto at Maple-Hunter Decals, he sells them on ebay from time to time.

THanks Chris...I didn't think there would be anything in a spray can...I was just hoping to find something close to the original if possible. I'll check out the decals. Thanks again. Dave

Dave I use PPG paint when they mix up my paint I get a spray can from them for touch up.If you have a PPG dealer close by they should be able to match your paint.

Rust-o-leum has what they call old Caterpillar yellow,it comes as close as any, some of the farm stores carry the same color in different brands.

Hi, I talked with a paint company today about spectrograph matching the old red orange, gray, Allis yellow and some other paint and filling spray cans with it. It would probably have to sell for about 12.50 up a can if I had them do 24 cans at a time. They say the enpty fillable cans cost them about 4.50 a can. Thwe said red is the most expensive and that white is the cheapest. I was thinking of doing some and also maybe some quarts, if there would be any interest in these products. I still have one unopened quart can of the Genuine Simplicity early red if it is not a solid block of red by now. I purchased it about 25 years ago. I know it is a lot, but it should be a nearly perfect match in an industrial enamel. Al Eden
