Scott Salmons 7 Posted April 12, 2007 Been having some problems for a while with the starter on my power max. You have to keep bumping the ignition to get the bendix to finally engage. I have a spare starter that seems to work OK but I was wondering where I could get a kit to put new brushes and bearing in it before I install it. If you know the 9020 you know what I am talking about, I have to pull the motor up to get the starter off.

Al 6 Posted April 12, 2007 Hi, We do make and sell a kit to fix this problem and have sold a number to users of 620, 720, 4040 and 9020s and other equipment that uses the solenoid actuated starter. Call me at 1-800-462-2218 and I will explain it. They sell for 29.95. We also make kits to adapt the driveshafts that use the rubber coupler on the 7100 and 900AC that is no longer available.
