How noticeable is the increased speed of running 26" tires instead of 23" ?? How noticeable is the loss of low-end torque??

As much as I have used it, I have not noticed any loss of traction. During the winter, I had a 10 inch pulley on it. I recently put the 6 inch back on and I don't see any speed increase. I used it last weekend with the forks with no problem. I will be using it tomarow for the same thing.

If you could keep the wheels turning as fast, theoretically you would increase the speed by about 13% if my math is right. Of course, the engine won't be able to turn the bigger wheels as easilly, so the only way to tell may be to try it and see.

The increase of speed is somewhat noticeable, I was running them on a 18hp Magnum 6-speed pulling tractor. The loss of power with the extra traction was also noticed but I needed traction more than power. Dan

At a given road speed you pick up 12%, so at 8 MPH, you are now at 8.96 MPH in high gear and in low gear for instance if you have 1.5 MPH you now at 1.8, hardly noticeable. Most people won't notice the difference until you max out the the HP on its hill climbing ability You have no wind resistance to speak of, so no loss of horsepower there. Other then pulling, I would say have at it.
