616 hood hinges

Still trying to iron out some odds and ends on the Deutz-Allis 616 I recently bought. The hood is just setting on, and I think I'm just missing what appears to be some sort of outrigger brackets? Does anyone have a picture of the way it should be?? And/or what all parts are needed?? I also have some play in the steering that I have yet to look into.

That is awesome, but the hood it shows, (on page 34) is different then mine. The hood I seen on this link http://www.simpletractors.com/club2/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=78451&SearchTerms=616 (4th. picture down) is, (as far as the hinges) like what I have. I just don't have the pieces that go from the hinges to the frame.

On page 32 Bolt #23 goes though the hinge and bolts to part #29 support hood on page 6

I uploaded some pictures of what I have to webshots. Maybe someone will know what I need by the pictures? As you can see, I'm missing the headlight assembly. Are these hard to find?

Can you find the MFG # for us? Should be on the ID plate if still on your tractor. All the information that we gave you for your tractor is wrong because you gave us the wrong model. Yours is a 1616 Deutz, not a 616.

OK, There is a sticker under the hood that tells the belt sizes, but where is the ID plate located?

I found a tag on the right side of the deck bracket: 1691816 010385 Is the parts (23,24,25,26,28, in diagram above) still avalible?

1691816 is the MFG# for your 44" mowing deck and the other numbers are the serial number. It is likely that your tractor MFG# is 1691819 but, I can't say for sure. The 1691819 tractor was model years 1989 - 1990. The engine would have been Model 303777 and the Engine Type would have been 0122-01. You can look for the Engine Code number to tell the date of manufacture of the engine. The first two numbers will be the year, the next two the month and the next two are the day. All parts thet you mentioned should be available from your nearest Simplicity dealer or from one of our sponsors that carry Simplicity parts.
