Does anyone think the 16/6.50x8 tire will get a little less pricey? Maybe produced by a different manufacturer? Is anyone here using them and how do you like 'em? Thanks.

Thanks Elon. ME Miller tire lists the 3-rib at 68 bucks a pop. The narrower tri-ribs I use just don't look right on some tractors but I don't think I'll fork over that much yet.

JDM while I dont have that same size I would reccomend trying a local tire place but NOT a franchise one. I had very good luck with one. Herm

I am pretty sure that ME Miller Tire has the only wide tri rib.I have a set and they have Firestone on them.I believe they own the mold that is why they can name there price.

Has anyone ever bought some of the Deestone tires for which Elon provided this e-bay link? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230098724166 The price seems right, and they also have a 23x8.50x12 lug tire for $75.00 per pair. I work in Cleveland, so I should even be able to save the shipping. Any thoughts on whether these tires are any good? Glen

Bunky - I checked your profile picture of your JD 140. Is that a set of the Deestones on it? Glen

Hi, I bought a pair of those 16/650-8 tri-ribs from Miller Tire over a year ago. I put them on an Ariens I was planning to put a loader on, but still haven't got that done yet. The Kohler in the Ariens quit running and I haven't taken the time to fix that yet either. The tires are very stout, serious tires! My wife convinced me to part with the big money and buy them. She had heard me grousing about nobody selling wider tri-ribs for garden tractors. When I told her they were available, but cost too much she told me to quit whining and just buy the tires! I did try the tires out some before the Ariens quit. They decrease the steering effort considerably due to the small contact area of the center rib and the edge of that rib will cut a nice groove in your turf. If you're planning to mow your lawn with them on your tractor, plan on gentle turns or lots of neat little grooves everywhere. They sure do look cool! Darryl

I just bought a set of Carlisle Lugs from this guy- Good price and fast delivery. He has none listed right now, but you could probably shoot him an e-mail and ask if he has any coming in. http://stores.ebay.com/Rustybores-Tire-Store

I have a set of the 16/650-8 tri ribs from miller about a year ago or so now. They definately cut down on steering effort and seem to track well in snow and soft dirt, the tractor a 2110 does't see a lot of action unless it's deep snow, tilling or grading.
