perry 1 Posted April 14, 2007 the girl has been doing me good towing and draging all theese tractors around. to end my friday night i wanted to get some thorn tree brush i cut earlier in the day out of the yard so the youngins did'nt get poked. i thought i could sneak it into my brush spot if i took the highside. well'ah....see the pics. the first few pics are draggin a dead tractor. this is what happens to the dualls driving around the place. theese old simplicitys are some strong tractors. i tryed to tow this one on the hook but could'nt keep the front down. so i had to drag it up hill threw the muddy trail with a locked rearend, frozen steering, flat tires, & the mower deck draggin. took me a few trys to get'er going but once it started to move i put the hammer down and draged it out of the woods and around to the garage. this was a complete tractor. here it is coming out of the garage and going to the scrap pile. notice no mud on top side of rear tires. locked solid hydro. then later that day just before calling it quits i had and go drag that brush. frontend sank on me and the darn grader blade done me in. so i took it off in the mud. as you can see i got it out of the hole and was starting to get out, then all of a sudden the poor girl stopped dead. if you'all remeber back when i was plowing snow i had this happen. the darn coller that holds the hub on came loose again and the hub pulled away from the gear. heres what i found laying in the rim. dont forget to check out part 2 of this saga...
