Morris 0 Posted April 15, 2007 I put in an ad for old broken riding mowers and tractors in Craigslist a week or so ago, and got a few responses. Most were free, but in all I spent a grand total of $125.00. Only one Simplicity, a Broadmoor, but living in NC you just don't find as many of them as you do up North. People here seemed more partial to Toro and Snappers. The Broadmoor is pretty rough, no sheet metal and shifter is broke. Some of the others I got running in no time...The haul was: Toro Wheelhorse (frozen engine and steering), Toro Professional 12/32 (runs good), Murray riding mower (no spark) Snapper riding mower (needs belts and fuel line), Simplicity 728 Broadmoor (needs everything) and three push mowers. The Bolens/MTD I'm storing for a friend... Morris 0 Posted April 15, 2007 Perry, it was one of your past posts that gave me the idea to try it here. Got more responses than I could handle. One guy emailed me and said he had a nice MTD he bought new in 1999, paid 1600 for it. Said I could have it for $1100. Uh, no. :D Thanks Elon, I'll probably get up with you, but going to wait til I finish the Allis first. With my dad passing away recently and taking care of a lot of stuff there, I didn't get time to work on it much last year. Making progress, though...
