MPH 12 Posted April 15, 2007 While helping my daughter find duct tape in Wally world the other day I saw White duct tape, hmmm gotta have a roll. Didn't think this seat was ready to retire as it's the best oem I have yet seen come into my yard. Half a roll later Just to help the glue on the tape I stapled the doubled duct tape on the bottom Should be interesting how long my red/green fix holds up:D
MikeES 464 Posted April 15, 2007 Red would be proud! The biggest issue with duct tape is that it dries out. I have found that the colored tapes hold up much longer than the grey stuff.
MDB 134 Posted April 15, 2007 Looks good too me, should hold up pretty good for a while.:D
andrewk 0 Posted April 15, 2007 Do yourself a favor, and take some mild cleaner and wipe that seat down... there will be some residual adhesive that will attach itself to your rear after it warms up... I must say, that 'Italian leather' cover looks great!
Vinnie_A 3 Posted April 16, 2007 I covered mine with a piece of vinyl in the exact way you did and even managed to leave the original sides intact. For about $8 you can cover your duct tape bottom and also redo the backrest.
