I do it at least twice a year with the rototiller on my 3112H. Besides that the way the rock shaft configured on the newer machines, it would almost be impossible to get a rod and clevis big enough to do the job. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

HubbardRA 19 Posted April 23, 2007 I had a solid rod in my 717H at one time. In order to get it to work right with the rocker shaft, I had to make it two piece. It was just a matter of having the correct geometry to hook to the existing shaft and move properly. This eliminated the capability to produce downpressure because the rod would bend at the joint.
