32" tiller vs. B-112 48" Wheel Base

Recommended Posts

Am I missing something here? The B-112 has a 48" Wheel Base. The original tiller for this model was 32". Does'nt this mean that on my next pass I will be driving over soil that I just tilled? Even with extensions this would still seem to be the case.

Wheel base means from center of front to center of rear wheels.

With a 32 inch tiller anything bigger then 6 inch tires you will be catching tilled dirt. Maybe 8.5 turf tires will be under 32 inches, my firestones on the LL are 33.5 wide outside to outside That's why I till with the 725. There is an extention kit for these tillers, not sure what it all includes.

Thanks for the replies. That was a dumb question about the wheel base. Should have known that. This is advertised on ebay as being for a B-112. Is it advertised incorrectly, or was there also a 42" model for the B-112? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=002&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=120109531013&rd=1&rd=1

Yeah that one is a 36 inch tiller. It looks like the other one is the same, but doesn't have the sides on.
