outlawed0810 0 Posted April 19, 2007 Hey guys...wonderin if I could get some help here. I'm kinda new to this so bear with me. I have a 64 landlord and just got it couple weeks ago. My yard finally dried out enough to mow this evening but I had a problem with the belt. Quite often when i would stop and need to change gears from first to reverse the belt would slip off the pulleys. I'm I doing something wrong or is there some other reason for this and how can i fix it?
HubbardRA 19 Posted April 19, 2007 My son has a similar problem with his 64 Landlord. If he releases the tension on the belt quickly it jumps off. He has just started releasing the belt tension very slowly and says it does not jump. Others have made additional belt guides for the lower pulley to keep the belt on. MPH 12 Posted April 19, 2007 If the belt guide is adjusted so it barely misses the belt when it's engauged it should do the job. Had the trouble on the B-112 til I robbed one off the then dead 3314. Had no trouble since.
SteveP 0 Posted April 20, 2007 Is it a Simplicity belt or a after market. I believe everyone here will agree these things don't like after markert.

MPH 12 Posted May 9, 2007 You really need to find at keast the belt guide that goes on the BGB. It will help you a lot on getting the tranny to stop turnning inorder to put it gear. Should be easy to find on here on the site, if not, i have a couple extras laying in the pile, light enough to mail cheap.
