Briggs 12 HP Head Gasket

Does anyone know if you can purchase a head gasket for a Briggs 12 HP, engine model 300421, on my 3212H? The Briggs parts list shows the head gasket as P/N 270400, but when I enter it into the Briggs order system (or any other online supplier) I get no matches. It looks like you can only get it by ordering the whole engine gasket set P/N 299719?

Go to any dealer that supplies briggs parts. The local simplicity dealer by me carries them. I bought 2 (2112, 3212. Both are 300421) this year. They are $6 if i remember right. If you can't find any let me know and I can get one and mail it to you.

Thanks cahickm2. I'd be curious if the part number has changed. I'm really surprised I couldn't find them anywhere online. My local Briggs dealers don't have them and the Simplicity dealer is too far away.

Yes, part numbers have changed a couple of times since #270400. Newer part number was 272166, and the current part number is 692231.
