3212V 0 Posted April 21, 2007 Does anyone have a generic source for an replacement ignition switch for a 3212? Mine was missing the switch when I got it. I'm a long way away from a Simplicity dealer and I'm guessing the switch is not brand specific. I'm curious if one of these will work, since I might be ordering some engine rebuild parts from here already: http://tewarehouse.com/s.nl/category.385/.f?fromsla=T Thanks. ehertzfeld 1 Posted April 21, 2007 If you can get the Simplicity part number, I'd try your local auto parts store. I know Napa has several that will work. I think you can use any that are Briggs, as long as it has the same amount of terminals
ehertzfeld 1 Posted April 21, 2007 Oh chances are that one will work from that site. You just need to figure out witch one.

3212V 0 Posted April 22, 2007 Elon, Thanks, I was leaning toward that one too, but it would be nice to be sure. Too bad they don't cross reference them to a Stens or INDAK P/N. INDAK looks like they make most of the OEM key switches and even have nice charts for their standard models to tell you which contacts are closed in each position: http://www.indak.com/products/standard_products/keyswitch/3_pos_stamped.htm
