Starter Problem

I have a problem with the starter on my AC416H not engaging. This happened once before, and I freed up the bendix assembly with lubrication. It now seems that the spring may be shot. Can I get a replacement kit and any advice on how to replace it? I'm not too familiar with starters.

Hi PETED, If you used a petroleum lube, try cleaning and using graphite. The oil will attract dirt over time, and could cause the condition. As for the drive, there is a starter drive kit, and it is very simple to replace, but the process depends on what type of engine you have. Hope this helps Andy
