msiebern 0 Posted April 22, 2007 We sold off some timber last fall and the timber buyer didn't do much to clean up all the tops and debris they had drug into our field, so my son brought over the CAT Dozer he uses at work. After watching him have all the fun, I decided that it just wasn't fair! There were plenty of smaller limbs and chunks of wood scattered around the field, and it would be a waste of time for him to go after all that "little stuff" with that big CAT, so I went to the house and retrieved my Allis Dozer. I was surprised at how big of limbs I could push into the bigger piles for him with this little worker. Sorry no action shots, but it was a great day of work on a warm spring day! My oldest son came a little later in the day and took some videos of the work. When we viewed them later that day, he had taken some footage of me driving away on my "Allis Dozer", but he was standing close to my other son on the CAT. What he got was me driving away with the sound of the CAT diesel purring away and the tracks clanking as it worked away. Gave the impression those sounds were coming from my Allis!8D p.s. Yes, my son thought I was crazy, that is until he saw just how much work I could do with it.;)

MPH 12 Posted April 23, 2007 Glad to see I'm not the only one with simple cures for spring fever. Size difference in the two is eye catching. Been grader blading the driveway every afternoon playing in souped up gravel, mud, and sand. About got it fit to spread the D-1 across.
