Pre formed hoses or not ( updated)

Recommended Posts

I would like a few opinions on using preformed hydro hoses on a 916h vs just using standard rubber hose.I'm talking specifically about the hoses from the pump to the filter and the return line from the filter to the transmission. I agree that there isn't much room between the pump and the rear end for the hoses. I have tried it both ways. The only thing I recall was the non formed hose was able to kink slightly going to the pump. Thanks as always, Mike

Using the pre-formed steel lines and factory hoses is much easier to hook up because of the lack of space in the areas where the valve body and cylinder are mounted. I put a hydrolift on my 716H. I did it all with hoses made at a local shop. It was very tight getting everything crammed under the tractor, and the cost was significantly more than I have seen the factory hoses and tubes bring on ebay. If you can get the factory ones at a decent price, I would go that way.
