DMedal 1 Posted April 24, 2007 Patience, please, if this is an idiot question... how compatible are the rear ends on a 416H and a 7016H? I want to use the 416H as a donor.
HubbardRA 19 Posted April 24, 2007 In general the 7016H usually has a Sunstrand tranny and the 416H has a Vickers tranny. They should be interchangeable if you have the sideplates that will match both the tranny and tractor. They can definitely be swapped with a little engineering. PatRarick 1 Posted April 24, 2007 Don, the 7016 uses a Sundstrand hydro and the 416 uses a Vickers. It will fit, but you'll need to alter a few things to make it work. Shift linkage is different. I believe the shift lever needs to be relocated. You'll also need a different shift lever quadrant and lever as the Vickers uses a "brake" on the shift lever to maintain the desired position. Not sure if those parts will interchange from a 416, but if you can find those parts from a 3300 or 3400 series hydro, they will fit your Homelite.
