bpg 0 Posted April 24, 2007 I recently purchased a 3410 S , but noticed the transmission when going forward or back hestitates or takes a bit to finally move . Belt seems fine but checked fluid level and could notice where it was so decided to drain. Well when doing so i noticed it drained slow cause it was very dirty and mucky. less than a half qt. came out. Then i tried adding new to try and flush out old and it would drain into the trans case. ( i did drive it for 15.min before doing this in order to warm up the fluid )now i cant get any new fluid in case-- can you fill it anywhere else or is thier a way to un clog . (thanks to all with helpful info)
RayS 80 Posted April 24, 2007 Look towards the top of the transmission and see if there is a plug (fitting) like the drain plug. There is on the standard 3 speed transmission and there should be on yours as well. Remove it and that will allow the oil to go in alot easier.

msiebern 0 Posted April 25, 2007 If you don't already have them, you can download the operators manual here. http://www.simplicitytechpubs.com/6767PRINT/PDF_files/TP_100_1352_00_SV_S.pdf And the parts manual here. http://www.simplicitytechpubs.com/6767PRINT/PDF_files/TP_400_1352_00_SV_S.pdf Here are some captures from the manual. Ooops! I see Ray just beat me with a diagram also.
