B-112 Manufacturer's Number

Recommended Posts

I've searched all over both sides of the frame and can not find it. Is this a metal plate, sticker, or is it stamped into the frame? If it is no longer there, how do I find out the number? Thanks.

It should be a 67-68 B112 with one of the following numbers. 2029900 2029901 2029929 2029930 You can go to "Simple Tractors" then, "Cross Ref Table". Then look at the model listing at top of page. Yours is between B1 and 6??. Go to page 1 and you will see the numbers for B112s. All of the tractors will be basically the same, with the differences in the numbers being variations on what the tractor was equipped with from the factory, such as with and without hydrolift, etc. The chart also shows the cross reference to the Simplicity tractor that is the same and it's number.

Your ID tag is a sticker that should be located on the dash at the bottom, in front of your gearshift. It will only have the AC #'s. Do as Rod said to get the simplicity MFR # Here is a pic of a B-110, it's decal is right at the bottom of the dash. Sorry, not the best pic but it was the only one I had saved.

I thought that was just the Model and Serial#. I thought the Manuf # was different and located on the Frame.

No, MFR #s were only used on Simplicity "brand name" products. Allis Chalmers had a different numbering system.

Allis Chalmers used MFG# just Like Simplicity just that they are different. The numbers below that Rod posted were the MFG#'s Allis Chalmers used. Simplicity only stamped the last 3 digits of the MFG# on the older products before 1970 the first 3 digits were 990XXX. The newer products used 169XXXX. The Allis Chalmers MFG#'s started with 202. The MFG # and Model # are one in the same. 2029900 2029901 2029929 2029930

My serial # is 013361. Maybe I'm stupid, but I don't see anything enen remotely close to that on the X-reference table.

You can also download this one. http://www.simplicitytechpubs.com/6767PRINT/PDF_files/TP_400_1289_01_SV_S.pdf I looked up the fact that 2029900 is with a manual lift, while 2029901 is with a hydrolift.

Lee, This is a good reason for you to come to Spring Fling. Ambler and I will both be there. We can teach you how to look up these things. I know that Ambler is familiar with these manuals because he has a B112. I just went into the site and looked up the info that I was posting, same as you could if you understood how. Come on down to Spring Fling. You can learn a lot in a couple of days. I'll bet there will be a B112 there and there will be lots of guys who know nearly everything about them. If you can't spend the whole weekend like I am going to do, then drive down early (we will start around 8 or 9am), and hang around till late afternoon. The info you can gather and the friends you will make, is well worth the cost of fuel.

Thanks for the downloads guys. I'll just have to wait and see if what I ordered was correct.
