Tiller Installed - Garden Tilled

Recommended Posts

I appreciate the patience you guys have shown with all my questions. Due to the help you guys have offered I am starting to get the hang of these tractors. I even installed the tiller today without having to come back and ask questions. Part of our Business is Truck Equipment. Ladder Racks, Tool Boxes, Dump Bodies, Lift Gates, and what not. Most installations are "plug and play". It's nice to learn how to do things the old way with old tractors. Thanks again to all for your help and patience. Today my garden got tilled...tomorrow I plant. Lee Anthony

Glad to hear all your work payed off. I hope you are happy with the 700. I think you got tractor fever!. I know my wife is happy with one less tractor (I'm down to 6!!). These are some well made tractors, and with a little patience it will all work out. JH

Lee, I'm curious if you took any digital pictures of the tilled garden? I'm curious to see how well it worked out for you guys. I never saw it in action. :)

Lee, Now that you are an expert, why don't you come over and hook my tiller up, so that I can have some fun. Mine doesn't quite fit.:D

Sure, no problem. Maybe you can help me load your 716H on the back of my trailer while I'm there.^

Better yet, I'll pick up the 716H and the tiller, take it back to my place and install it for you. Shouldn't take to long. I should be able to get it back to you by the end of the summer.sm01

Rod, Take the running boards and cone clutch off, put on an early style PTO, and then it will fit. :D

Roy, I have plans to remove the cone clutch and put the pulley directly on the shaft, since that one is not going to be my mower. Now why would I want to remove the running boards? :D Lee, I do them in kit form. Like the Johnny Cash song - "One piece at a time." After Spring Fling, I will have enough parts to put together two more tractors. I think one of them is going to be another AC716H or maybe a Simp7116H. Can't have too many. ^

It's not safe to run without running boards.

Rod, Building them in "kit form" is the big leagues. I'm still in the Tee-Ball league with these tractors. I'm wondering how I'm gonna figure out how to rebuild the 700 and the 112 this fall. Never done anything like this before.

Hey Eric, Here's the Garden pics you wanted. Forgot to take them before I started planting. The first 2 pics show it's present size just for the tomatos, cukes, lettus, beets, and herbs. The next pic shows the ground I will be tilling for the corn, peppers, squash, watermellon, strawberrys, and a few other things. The last two pics are where our fertilizer comes from.

"Now why would I want to remove the running boards?" To remove extra weight and make your tractor faster. :D "It's not safe to run without running boards." Use the foot rests! And, on a hill side FDT's are easier to "catch" when they start tipping sideways. :)
