My B112 tank started, but...

Recommended Posts

:DGot the B112 started--new battery and cleaned all the ground connections. Started right-up without choking. No smoke at all! Now for the "started, but..." The engine (300421) has no rpm range, just idle and a little more than idle. I can get rpm by lifting the "rod." The throttle cable is not the pull style, but an add-on lever style which terminates at the upper lever of the governor spring. The cable has wires jerryrigged all over holding it in place. I see only one governor spring. Questions: Where do I start with the throttle cable (and end)? Clamp points? What about the governor springs? Thanks.

See the linkage shown on this page of the owners manual: http://www.simpletractors.com/operation/300401/page_5.htm Your throttle cable should connect to the carb like the first picture on the far left. Your TWO governor springs should connect like is shown in the picture on the lower right of this page: http://www.simpletractors.com/operation/300401/page_4.htm
