Buying my first Simplicity!!!

Recommended Posts

RBE17
It looks like I'll be purchasing my first Simplicity because I won the auction on the following tractor. http://cgi.ebay.com/SIMPLCITY-9020-HYDRO-60-GARDEN-LAWN-MOWER-SNOWBLOWER_W0QQitemZ140111089692QQihZ004QQcategoryZ66761QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I'm pretty excited since I've been messing around for a year trying to find a tractor to suit all my needs. I think I've found it now. I want to send a big shout out to Simple Tractors because w/o this site I never would've known what a 9020 was. You folks have been very helpful over the last year. I look forward for future discussions. Thanks, Steve.

Thanks Guys!!! That misspelling of Simplicity saved me a lot of money. It was posted in the ebay section here, which is how I found it. I think I got it around half price. I've followed the prices of the 4040s / 40041s / 616s & 716s and they are considerably more expensive. Luckily I'm at the right spot for knowledge. Now I just have to get that bad boy home. It's 200 miles away.

Thanks Chris!!! I don't know what I'm more excited about, getting the tractor or the price. Together it's extremely exciting for me.

I saw that one too, and was thinking about bidding on it, but the BOSS would have my head!!!! that is a good price as the Blower alone is going for $500-700 alone

Aaron, DW knows I've been looking for a tractor for awhile. Now I'll be selling the AC917H, JD STX46 and our Husqvarna snowblower. So, I'll actually have less stuff and I'm spending my own money. I didn't realize that blower cost so much. I'll be looking for some other attachments for it, that's for sure. A blade of some sort and a loader. It's interesting because my bid almost didn't make it. I had to redial w/in the last couple of minutes because my connection got dropped. Then I got ready to type in my bid and didn't have the cursor in the bid box. Bottom line is that my bid went in w/ TWO seconds left. Months ago there was a thread about what tractor would you love to have. The PowrMax was my answer. I very excited to get it home. The only thing it's missing, IMO, is 4WD, but that drives the price up even more. Later, Steve.

Very nice tractor and equipment. Looks like they gave you the wrong hitch for the snow blower, the one in the pix looks like the pully and shaft for the blower is not there. That should be the hitch for the front blade.

Nice PMax. My addiction started with a non-running AC 720. I bought it because it had a loader and the guy was moving out of state(ie. good price). Fast Forward 2 1/2 years... I now have 2 720's, 1 725, 1 700, 1 2012, 2 738's, 1 707, 1 3008, 1 5010, 1 B207, 1 Sunrunner and a few "off" brands. Oh yeah and a whole slew of parts and attachments. Enjoy!!:D:p8D}:):o)

I was pretty excited to say the least. I really freaked out when I went to type in my bid w/ less than 25 seconds and my cursor wasn't in the bid box. Thank you all for the nice comments. I'm really excited to be owning this tractor. I can't wait to pick it up. wilm169, Thanks for the tip. I'll check w/ them when I go to pick it up. I'm such a newbie I had no clue. No wonder they stated they didn't try the snowblower...they couldn't. 4xbill, HOLY COW!!! That's a lot of tractors. I'm looking forward to having one machine do it all, but someday I really would like to get a foot dragger. A year ago I say an old LL for free, but didn't get to it in time. Thanks again, Steve.

I never put our blower on this season but it does look like some missing parts? Spring belt tightner for the belt and pulley. Looks like the hydraulic cylinder might be under the the box. I'd call them and see if they have the owners manuals for the tractor , blower ,deck. If not you might find them on this site at least for the blower. They might put you in contact with the previous owner and get some other parts. Great looking tractor and what a bargain. I don't get on here often otherwise I could look at home at my manuals and see what is missing? You are going to be very happy with it
