Sickle Mower capability

I might be getting a 46" sickle for the FDTs. I was wondering what is the maximun stalk diameter it will safely cut? Thank You. Chris

It's intended for cutting grass, but it will cut briars or weed stalks up to about 1/2" -- but DO NOT try cutting tree sprouts or saplings with it, regardless of their size. You'll break some of those expensive, hard-to-find knives...

Thank You Kent! If I get it I'll try to keep it in the grass away from the trees. Sounds like I need a weed cutter for use in brush. Chris
