Quick ? How much oil does the motor take? (qts)?

I briggs manual for my older 10-hp says 2-quarts

I have some that take 2qts. and some that will only take 1.5qts.

That is going to depend on the oil sump of the engine. It could be either 1.5 or 2 qts. I have engines that require both amounts.
