Hello everyone I am trying to remove the PTO clutch cone on an Allis 712H and am mystifed as to how to hold the round cone from turning as I try to remove the nut holding it. Thank you in advance

Impact wrench works the best. I've also used a vice grip or pipe wrench on the crankshaft or driveshaft.

I use a strap wrench on the outside to hold it stationary while the nut is removed.

An old belt and a pair of Vice grips make a good strap wrench in a pinch if you don't have one.
