rbw1052 0 Posted May 5, 2007 Still can't get the engagement button to pop out on my hydro. Does anyone know where I can get a book on repairing these??I would probably take it apart if I knew what to do.Wasn't sure if I could remove the button without doing more damage. It doesn't seem to want to unscrew from the hydro very easily. It's a mid 80's model #1691340. Thanks for any input! Randy:)
Al 6 Posted May 6, 2007 Hi, CAUTION! Will write more later its 1:23 and I am going to bed. DO NOT ALLOW THE BALLS IN either THE PUMP OR THE MOTOR TO GET OUT OF THEIR HOLES AND MIXED UP. EVEN A NEW HYDRO IS SCRAP IF THEY GET IN THE WRONG HOLES. They are selectively matched to the holes at the factory to tolerances in 10th of thousandths. samson 1 Posted May 6, 2007 I just got done getting mine out. I attached a vice grip to the plunger and then with a small crowbar to pry I pounded lightly with a weighted rubber hammer, it finnally came out. then used emery cloth on the rod and more penatrating fluid. It orks now but I am going to leave it out. Hope this helps Samson
