Mat Perucci 0 Posted May 18, 2007 After my B212 sat for 2 months I decided to get er running again. I replaced the Aluminum Pully that the driveshaft bolts to on the motor after that blew apart. Replaced my Mangled driveshaft, Amazed by the torque of the motor on how it could twist such a piece of metal. So after that i played around with it pushing some dirt and debris into piles to clean them up. She started running funny sputtering and stalling, Checked the carb 100% not my problem. So i checked for spark. No spark. Filed the points still nothing. Found that the points plunger was not pulling in and out like it should. So after all this rambling on about my bad luck with the tractor heres my question. Im aware that theres a lobe on the cam shaft that makes the plunger work could that have fallen off or broken? Or is it something small that could be fixed simply?
ehertzfeld 1 Posted May 19, 2007 I would doubt that it lobe could have broken. I bet the plunger rod is badly worn and the point's are adjusted to far out.
