firefoxz1
Well someone said 13 was unlucky but I got lucky ,or maybe unlucky?, and had some stuff follow me home today. Is 15 unlucky? To top it off my B10 will have some A/C family now. I missed a deal on a 3416H with snow-blower, plow, tiller, and vacuum attachment out of the local papershop, didn't last long at the price:(!. But the next day this deal fell in my lap and couldn't say no:D:D. All barn stored so condition is excellent beside some owner neglect and varmit abuse. The haul, actually had to use the old GMC. A Big Ten A second shot With high/low:D:D A snow blade but no hitch, tiller covers, and the hood. a HB112, runs and no smoke. firefoxz1
At $300 for everything I would say I got a very good deal:D:D and why I couldn't pass up the deal, even though I really was looking for a 16hp tractor. So far the cards have not been good to me in that aspectC. At this point I think I can no longer look for a tractor with a 16hp or I will be living with them out in a dog house:O:(. I will have to just rebuild the 15hp I picked up and do an engine change in one I already have. I quess I can't complain that a deal never comes my way. Over the past couple years I can think of atleast three very good purchases that only a fool would pass up. The only other thing that has eluded me is a powerlift tractor, hydro or electric. With patience and time one that has both may show up at my door:D:D.

firefoxz1
Big Ten - Well beside the hood being all bent up the Big Ten is in good working order. I put gas in it, had to clean the points, and it fire right up and never skipped a beat. I even took two swipes around the yard with the mower. Only concern is the BGB is a little on the sloppy side, but OK for use for now. HB112 - This one looks good, but... Engine and Deck are great but the rest will need a lot of work to get going again. BGB is all but shot. Brake pedal isn't even connected. The brake band is twisted. Looks like the hydro leaks more than he said. The steering is sloppy. All the tin is straight though and can be restored. Don't think I've ever seen a tractor look so good but be in such poor shape.
D-17_Dave
No matter how bad the tractor looks condition wise it's still a HB112. How can you go wrong?;) Everything you've descibed can be a simple parts swap and you'd have a very orriginal tractor.
firefoxz1
Well, I wasn't looking to get into another "project" so not sure what I'm going to do with the HB112 yet. Even with a good engine and deck is it worth it to dig in and fix it, maybe, but will be low on the list as I have other projects going on also and not looking forward to fixing hydro leaks:(. A more thorough investigation will tell. I haven't worked all those bugs out of the 3410H yetB). If I get a shop built this summer things will go along faster:D:D. HubbardRA
What do you want for the 112 forward of the BGB and without the engine? That and my 7116H combined would make a nice HB116 with a Sunstrand tranny and charge pump operated hydrolift. Then Maynard wouldn't be the only person to have one.:D To me, the B112 is the best looking tractor that was ever built. Let's see, where can I find a set of running boards for one of them?}:)
firefoxz1
Rod, Haven't completely decided what to do with it yet. I know I want to dig a little deeper into it's woes before I make that final decision. I will keep you in mind if it comes to thatB):(. On second thought why would I let you destroy a FDT with them whatchamacalits:D:D I almost have to agree on the looks but I think I like the round hood "with" the bug eyes better and in Simplicity dress. Tacey
Nice haul for a very good price. Are those wheel weights factory? Those alone are probably worth fifty bucks, easy. I've never seen a deal like that in Pennsylvania. I must not look in the right places. Tacey
firefoxz1
Tacey, No they are not factory that I know of. They are 50# each. You are on the other side of the state:p:D. I didn't find these by chance, I am constantly scanning the newspaper and papershop and every once in awhile something like this pops up. I will have to stop looking for now (to many projects lined up) so I don't know what else I will miss. I was posting some of these deals I passed on in the e-bay and other ads section but there were never any takers are even inquiries so I stopped. plastikosmd
my crawler came out of pennsylvania, went unsold on ebay...traded some junk for it, as the guy was a junk dealer, and about 200 cash scott
MPH
"To me, the B112 is the best looking tractor that was ever built. Let's see, where can I find a set of running boards for one of them?" Now a plan like that will SURE ruin the looks and useage of a fine machine Rod.
HubbardRA
Marty, They all have "something" that can be improved upon.:D I said the B112 was the best looking. Never said I was into absolutely accurate restorations.
