ridgerunner 3 Posted May 20, 2007 There called a transport hook cluster. You got the one with a grab hook, mini J-hook, R-hook, and T-hook. Depending where you get them, a grade-70 your style with the 4 hooks go for $20-25 new. They come in real handy if you tow any cars/trucks -Paul

Tom_Byrne 0 Posted May 20, 2007 quote:FastPaul Posted - 05/21/2007 : 01:10:10 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ,not saying I havent payed to have one towed though You must be a Ford guy LOL HHMMMM....Gather 'round, boys & girls. Time to tell the sad tale of my Chevrolet Family of Fine Cars}:). 1) My 1999 Blazer, which was meticulously maintained, threw a rod bearing two months ago. this was after both front hubs went, the hood cable broke and the trans started to slip- 119,000 miles, 80% highway....2) The daughters 1998 Lumina, meticulously maintained also, was not running quite right. Had it in my buddy's shop idling and it just quit running. Ended up having a broken camshaft! Car had 66,000 miles. I only ever saw one cam break, and it was in a drag car... 3) My 1995 S10 and the metal termites that moved from the frame up to the engine compartment- I had to change the battery, and I lightly tapped on the battery tray with a ratchet and half of it broke off! All within two weeks! SO, looking back at the days of my old F150 that I drove to 150,000 miles with nothing but normal maintenance, and is still going, I bought an F350 Super Duty, and really don't care if I ever see a Bowtie again!:D

builder386 0 Posted May 21, 2007 Well, my first 2 trucks were Fords then I bought a 1995 Chevy that was 5 y/o and I have never looked back since. IMHO, Chevy has the better powertrain. Otherwise, The trucks are basically the same now anyway since Ford junked that twin traction beam crap. Its all in what you've had the best luck with when it comes down to it. That being said, if it weren't for bad luck I wouldn't have any at all!!
IronPony 3 Posted May 22, 2007 I used to say I was a Ford man. Now own two GM products and like both of them. However, having said that I still keep in the back of my mind that there are a lot more Model Ts and As still running than GM products????
