This is the sprayer set up i put together this weekend. I was tirerd of walking around with the little pump sprayer . This setup works awesome 3 rd gear at an idle I plumed it so you can use the spray bar or the hand held spay nozzle Had to do a little experementing with the spray bar set up to get it right Its got a 12 volt pump that only draws 4 ampsI sprayed 35 gal.on the lawn I don't have to many weeds but I don't want any either.

Sorry it took so long to get back but it a busy time of year , Ya you know The spray bar is 25 " off the ground and 36" wide It sprays a 9' wide pattern on the grass It has a one gal. a min. pump at 40 PSI. It takes about 20 min. to empty,The spray heads are something I got from an asphalt roller to keep the drum wet .I had to drill out the spray heads to get the right flow It works great .I also can use the hand sprayer for small areas.

Paul, Could you give us some detail on the boom set-up. I plan on mounting my 15 gallon sprayer and then making a boom set-up. What kind of nozzels, flow rate, patern did you use. How high off the turf did the nozzels end-up? Thanks GregB

Paul, What did you spray on the lawn and did it work out? I want to spray my lawn but haven't decided on what to use. Thanks,

Nice work! I see you have it attached to the lower hitch pins, but not the lift bar. So where else do you have it attached so it doesn't just fall over backwards? and yes, a few more details on spray heads and spacing, etc. would help save us some experimenting. -Don

I have used a tow behind and sprayed using 24D for dandylions. Just towed the sprayer while mowing and when I came across weeds I would hit the togel switch and spray away until I had passed over the weeds. I was mowing about 4 acres at that time and it really did the job. Got the 24d at the local farm and ranch feed/fertilizer store. Comes as a consentrate and you have to mix with water. I think I would mount the sprayer lower to keep wind from catching the spray and keep it off myself as well. The pull behinds are only about 8 to 10 inches off the grass. Dan aka IronPony

Paul- Nice work. I have the same sprayer and have been wanting to tractor mount it as the trailer is a hassle. Stealing some of your ideas will save a lot of time. How did you cut the nifty notches that hold it at the top? I've more wood experience, want to use a router. :O Plasma?

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
