Go to an army surplus store and pick up an old amo can ( they are retangular and available in 12"x 4" X 10" with a gasketed top so they are waterproof. Paint it orange (or black) and bolt it to the back of the seat. My father had one on the back of his Simplicity 728, and it never got in the way. You would be suprised at how much you can put in it. I picked one up for the back of the 728 that I'm restoring now.

ammo can, not a bad idea. i just dont like the fact of drilling into any part of the original tractor.

Perry, Perhaps you could fabricate two metal straps that are around 3-4" long, and about 1" wide each. Drill one hole in one end. Drill two holes in the other end. Then unscrew the original bolts holding the seat down... Put the one-hole end of the strap in the bolt hole, and do both sides, hooking em' up using the original rear seat bolts. Then, the other end with 2 bolts- drill 4 holes in an ammo box- 2 on either end to match the distance between the two straps. There ya go- no holes in the original tractor. :)

:O:O :D You could do something similar for the Simplicity seats -- get some flat stock and bend it up into an L-shape. Mount it between the seat and the seat pan with the leg of the L sticking up behind the seat, then bolt the toolbox onto the L. The toolbox would be "behind your behind" and out of the way... On my "flat-fendered" HB-216 (B-210 on steroids), I put one on the fender beside the seat.

This... a surrey top from a Sunrunner... not quite the orignal surrey top for a B model, but close enough. I've used it at a couple of tractor shows -- it usually just collects dust... :I

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
