well, for some fun i figured i would start to catalogue my purchases up to this point in my tractor collection. this way i wont forget how i got to where i am today. it was a fun exercise..and since my collection is small..it wasnt a lot of work..so here it is tractor collection 2004 fall, see an allis b12 at a tag sale for 50 bucks..buy it cause it looks so "bad" with rear ags, heavy front bumper etc. : join the allis club to learn about them a bit more : add a plow and home made hydro for winter, battle through a huge storm 2005 spring, meet daddycat and buy a second b12 (reeds old machine), a york rake, sickle bar, trailer hi-low and mis. other stuff : find a loader attachment in NC and buy it and have it shipped : add the loader..in switching the AGs from first tractor to the second..find the first tractor has the correct spacers for the loader!!! :paint and clean up both tractors 2005 spring, also pick up a parts machine from a gentleman in NH, dont remember his name..it was a parts b10, that i needed the mower deck off of fall 2005 find crawler on ebay..under unsold items..call guy and make an offer..some junk and cash.. 6hr trip each way to Penn. it is not moving..his big tractor is dead so we use his truck to bash it into my uhaul trailer, large 5ton engine hoist comes in handy to lift out :rebuild-clean..etc progress through to current..soon to add a backhoe in mid-2007 spring/summer 2006 moving gets easier with the additon of a drop-deck trailer summer 2006 buy the kubota, now realize i need to sell the other loader...that is sold to a new member, along with sicklebar/mower deck/parts machine summer/early fall 2006 buy a third b12, 600$ very original with hydro/hi-low, plow, weight, 2 shredders and other stuff from guy in connecticut bargin-news, dont even get to drive it..stays in back of truck for a week, bring it home and then load it again to trade with Fastpaul for Quadractor early fall 2006 buy a 3 pt snowblower to convert to run on kubota (or pasquali to come) mid fall 2006 buy a 4th B12 with hydro/high low..no engine..for around 300$ on ebay..parts machine mid fall 2006 meet Matt from Quadractor in late fall, buy a parts machine quadrator and plow from him...1000$..see the rokon at his house.. do some research and make him, buy rokon early winter of 2007 for 1750$ spring/winter of 2007 find pasquali on craigslist in NH, drive up in a snowstorm and buy it for just under 2000$ late spring, meet frank at "american pasquali", buy a spare lombardin motor to keep on reserve :add a wood chipper in spring spring prime-mover forklift purchased up in Mass for 400$, decide not to add forklift attachments from 2 GE tractors i had on reserve, trade those for a new Husky chainsaw spring/summer 2007 start planning construction of a 16x24ft shed for machine storage..to date have Quadractor Crawler original allis b12 now with hydro and high/low/ and a parts machine Pasquali Kubota Rokon prime mover

Wow, is that what I have to look forward to? I just bought my first unit, a 1959 wonderboy stick mower, that I am fixing up and repainting. Can't wait for the longer road trips to start, wife loves to see new parts of the country. I am in Oshkosh Wisconsin. Steve-wis

For 10 years it seems 5 tractors is as few as I can get down to. Had four for a few weeks now, but I just painted a DA 917 with some shiny new green paint, so we are back up to 5 yet again. I couldnt begin to even remember all the ones I have kept for any length of time let alone all the ones I used up for parts. I suppose alltogether there would be at least a couple of hundred to account for at this point. Hard to believe sometimes.

I have always tried to keep track by writing purchases and sales into an excel file. Most anything AC or Simplicity also gets posted on the Simpletractors Registry. I think I've had 50 or 60 tractors come through in the last 7 years so its easy to forget a few. Sounds like you're doing good if you can remember that much without records.

scott..yep that is why i started the log...i got to thinking..what year did i buy...x-machine. couldnt remember..so wrote it all down chris...wow 70! that is a lot of movement! excel is a good idea...maybe i will convert the word file.... acfarmer...the pasquali is a 986, also with a front blade and rear pto/3pt hitch. i think the 988 is bit bigger than the 986. the 986 is the smallest one they made...which is still about 2x as long as my b12. mine is powered by something like a 24hp single cylinder lombardini. here is a pic from the weekend. needs some powerwashing (have an ongoing steam cleaner project) and may freshen up the paint..but runs like a top. (i cant believe that the front end/rear take a combined 6 gallons of gear oil..phew..darn hand pumps...) scott
