Cutting Throttle Cable?

Whats the best way to cut the outer jacket on a throttle cable? Need to put my landlord back in service for plow duty in the back yard.

I always used a hacksaw to cut the outer shield.

I used a hacksaw as Maynard said, till I got a Dremmel tool with the carborundum cut-off disks. Now that is what I use. You can make a very nice end on the cable with one of them.

Thanks all, I ended up using a pair of linemans pliers. Worked pretty good.
