I just picked up a 3410 with a bad engine. I just saw this ebay auction and was wondering if it would work with some swapping of parts?? Thanks in advance, Tom http://cgi.ebay.com/USED-10hp-Briggs-Stratton-gasoline-engine-Gen-Power_W0QQitemZ270126894750QQihZ017QQcategoryZ79670QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I don't think that would do the job. That engine is an aluminum block, yours is the cast iron. Look at the weight of the engine 47#, I bet your cast iron weight is considerably higher. There are a lot of conversions that are possible, check out smallenginewharhouse.com.

That engine is not set up to take a starter generator nor is it designed to drive tractor off flywheel side of engine.
