mbsengineer
I'm new to AC ownership as I recently purchased an early model 712H. I have been able to find more B series attachments for sale then 700 series attachments. I'm wondering if anyone knows if any of the B series attachments are compatible with the 700 series? Or if ANY other series (other then the Simp. 7000 series) are compatible?
UCD
All of the B series attachments will fit. The driven pulleys on the B series snow blower with the correct hitch and mower deck would have to be changed to be used on the 700 series allis. The front plows would need the angle on the lift arm on the hitch changed to clear the hood. All of the attachments for the 900 series allis and 3300, 3400, 7000, 7100, series Simplicity will fit with no modifications. The Allis Chalmers tractors with the exception of the 300, 400 series for all practical purposes were made by Simplicity SimpleTrACtors What fits http://www.simpletractors.com/Main/what_fits.htm
4xbill
Welcome! We're almost neighbors(30 miles). Spend the ten bucks for membership it is well worth it. The info and advice here is invaluable. What kind of attachments are you interested in?
mbsengineer
4xBill, Thanks for the welcome. I'm mostly looking for a vac system and snowblower for now. A tiller and front blade would be nice as well, but they can wait. UCD, Thanks for the info. 2 follow up questions though ... (1) I had looked at that what-fits-what page before and had trouble making sense of it. Most of the attachments (even the ones I know would fit my machine) don't have my model # listed. However, based on your previous response, I assume I can see if any of the 900, 3300, 3400, 7000 and/or 7100 series are listed ... correct? (2) I see there are also pages that tell you what "parts" or "kit" is needed to make certain attachments compatible with a certain tractor (some of which you mentioned in your response), however, I would assume trying to track down specific parts or kits would probably be even more difficult then tracking down a certain attachment ... or am I wrong? Thanks again guys!
UCD
Attachments are not hard to find. Watch the classifieds here and also ebay. Most tillers will work The older ones might need a driven pulley change. The Idler set up is a little hard to come by if you don't get it with the tiller but the parts to assemble one are still available. The lawn vac doesn't care what tractor it is behind, just a matter of getting the correct deck adaptor for your mower deck. Most large frame attachments will work from the first 1959 Simplicity 700 Wonderboy to the 2000 Sovereign and all equivilent Allis Chalmers B-1 to 900 series tractors with the correct hitch and adapters. The execption is the Allis Chalmers 300 & 400 Series and most of those will work (except the mower decks) with hitch modifications If you have any question just ask that is what the club is for.
