dallenx 0 Posted June 4, 2007 I'm feeling a mixture of foolishness and relief today. I'm going to post my blunder in the hope that it solves someone elses problem in the future. About three years ago I was using the loader on my 620 to re-shape the pitchers mound at my sons school. Right when I finished the tractor started running bad. It acted like it was running on one cylinder and flooding. It had no power. I drove it home and parked it in the barn. I was upset because I had just done a bunch of work to it and the tiller and this was the last straw. There it has sat for three years. Well, I got the bug again to work on it this week becuase I want to put my garden in. I went through the usual issues...ignition, timing, points, etc. No luck. It turns out that the air filter was clogged.B) After doing the other things, the tractor runs great now. I never even thought about the filter because the engine lost power so quickly. Lesson learned.
ambler 0 Posted June 4, 2007 That was cheap and you saved three years of wear.
4xbill 2 Posted June 5, 2007 As frustrating as that is. An easy fix is always nice. Start with the easy first.
