ken69912001
I currently have my 725 apart because i replaced the driveshaft.I have not reassembled it. This was a year ago and now it seems that the drive shaft has frozen up and will not turn even when i have it in neutral. I have even tried to rock the tractor back and forth but no luck. Any body have any ideas on how i can fix this problem.
HubbardRA
I don't know of anything related to the driveshaft that can prevent it from turning. The lockup is either in the engine, BGB, or tranny. You should be able to see a little clearance somewhere to tell where the lockup really is.
ken69912001
The engine is not in the tractor. Also I have the belt that connects the transfer case to the BGB off. So i guess that just leaves the transfer case. I really dont know for sure. Anybody else have any suggestions?
MrSteele
You have the belt off the BGB? And rocking the tractor doesn't allow the wheels to turn? Put your belt back on if the wheels will turn when rocking the tractor, then the transfer case should turn the drive shaft.
