SmilinSam 4,157 Posted June 8, 2007 Plunger goes down and back to centerlike it should. Plunger goes up only about half the travel it should then sticks tight. Seeing as how previous owner stripped the connection points on the lift lever I assume this wont be correct till I remove and rebuild the valve. I assume one of the o rings must be damaged and is getting hung up. Sound like a reasonable assessment?
HubbardRA 19 Posted June 8, 2007 Either that, or he has put it back together with a piece of something inside the valve. Sounds like there is something in there that just won't let it move fully. Here's one on ebay, if you don't want to tear yours apart: http://cgi.ebay.com/Simplicity-Sovereign-7119H-Hydraulic-Lift-Control-Valve_W0QQitemZ320124523173QQihZ011QQcategoryZ82242QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
WITom 0 Posted June 8, 2007 I would tear that valve down, check the o-rings and if they look OK, just clean everything really well and put back together. Hyd, valves run very tight tolerences and if a speck of dirt got in there, it may be causing your problems.
