S/G keeps turning over

After finishing mowing last night with my 7018H, when I turned the ignition key off, the s/g kept turning over. Had to disconnect the positive cable from the solenoid to stop it. While it was still warm, if I touched the cable back to the solenoid, it would start doing it again. I left it alone until this morning, and when I touched the solenoid, nothing. Where should I start looking? I replaced the ignition switch last year. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Gary

I had a solenoid that would energize with the ignition switch, but would stay energized. I replaced it and haven't had any more problems.

The one I mentioned above had an internal failure. Only way it would release was to remove the solenoid from ground. That is why I had to replace it. When it was activated, it would self-energize and would stay that way even if ignition power was removed. It was somehow getting power internally from the battery lead when energized.

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
