SmilinSam 3,835 Posted June 13, 2007 Selling a KT17S in pieces on Ebay. The prices in these last hours of the auction prompt me to ask whether or not Kohler KT parts are no longer available? Never have I seen used rods and standard pistons fetch over $100 till now:O of course I'm not complaining, but I just cant see the reasoning behind the bidding like this. skunkhome 0 Posted June 13, 2007 Don't know about the Kohler parts but I have seen some strange things on ebay. Have two identical items selling just a day or so apart... one will sell for 24.99 and the other for 124.99. One guy sold a 1 pint Mason jar of dirt for over $300. Its kinda like gambling... you have to decide how much you are going to loose or spend (in the case of ebay) and not exceed that amount regardless how heated the bidding gets. I have seen a lot of final bids where people obviously lost sight of the value of the item.
andrewk 0 Posted June 13, 2007 AFAIK, the parts are still available. I'll check when I get into the shop in the morning to make sure, but I am pretty sure I ordered some last month. Might be that the old style is out of production or something, but I'll double check Andy

builder386 0 Posted June 18, 2007 I have been ordering parts from www.opeengines.com They seem to have a good inventory and really fast, reasonably priced shipping.
