adamf203 0 Posted June 13, 2007 It appears that I need new bushings that elevate the tie rod and keep it from laying on the feet rests. Mine lays on the foot rest but I can lift it up to a position where i think is should be. The rubber bushings that are on both ends of the tie rod seem to have worn completely away. Any one know where i can get them or any one have any tips on how to correct this problem???
PetePuller 0 Posted June 13, 2007 You can adjust the tie rod so it doesnt rest on the metal foot rest. I usually adjust both ends so they support the center rod. The rubber bushings are not needed, but you can use cut heater hose if you want them.
