Unkle Spike 0 Posted June 25, 2007 I know some of you would think this only adds to the excitement of mowing, but not for me. The brake rod and strap assy is sort of just flopping around, I tightened it and still nothing, it seems like this strap assy is broken. I can't find a decent parts breakdown on how to repair/replace it.
Roy 0 Posted June 25, 2007 Jeff, Do you have your tractor manufacturing number, owner/operator's Manual and/or a parts manual? If you have the manufacturing number you can look up and download the parts manual. Will show you how the brake is supposed to look. A picture would also help. Hard to tell what is wrong without seeing it.
Unkle Spike 0 Posted June 25, 2007 I have the parts manual, but the assy drawing shows the band off to the side of the other parts. 1690930 is the manf number.
Roy 0 Posted June 25, 2007 Go to "http://www.simplicitytechpubs.com/techpubsearch.php" and poke in your manufacturing number. Will pull up the Operator's Manuals and Parts Manual. I looked at the brake in the Parts Manual. Looks pretty straight forward. The Owner's Manual has the brake adjustment procedure in it. If all else fails call me. I'll PM you my phone number. sunrunner 0 Posted June 25, 2007 I come up with part# 1679355SW from SEPW - 60+ dollars - Chris
firefoxz1 4 Posted June 25, 2007 I might be able to snap some pics of my 6211 if that would help. Just tell me where or what you need pics of.
sunrunner 0 Posted June 25, 2007 I think the band itself is on the transmission exploded view page of the parts manual.....may have to tale a couple of bolts off to replace it.
Unkle Spike 0 Posted June 26, 2007 I think the bolt that hold the non-adjusting end is missing? I will look at it tonight as it is mowing night at the ranch.... Thanks for all the help and links to manuals.
