My 1963 MW gardenmark squire was painted orange. The best I can tell, they started gold in about 1966-67. I hope this helps. jh

The skeleton of a Garden Mark, in an Indiana J Yard. Pretty close to Simplicity colors.

I have a 9hp Wards, which is equivalent to the 9hp Landlord, from about 1963 that is the ugly gold/copper color. It has been partly repainted red, so it looks just terrible now. I have also seen a gold Wards 6hp Broadmoor equivalent - got to an auction 5 minutes too late to get it. That would have been from 1963 to 1965 for a 6hp. I think it was the standard version - small tires. Tim
