Is $2500 a good price for a semi-restored 4040?

I was going to travel some distance to buy a 4040. Indiana is alot closer

Sounds a little high for a 4040. Being the oldest version of this size tractor they had the smaller engine and fewer options like dual remotes and such. Unless it has a lot of extras I'd look for something cheaper or more late model. Just remember, it is your money, you should be the one who's happy at the end of the deal. Good luck.

You should be able to get a late model 9020 for that price.

alright then, I will not pursue the purchase of the 4040 for $2500. I hope you guys can help me locate a nice 4040, 4041, or 9020 now that I have money to spend again. It just seems so hard to find them.

Hi guys, in my neck of the woods you can't even get a sniff for under 2000 and that is in poor shape. I just bought a 4041 in OH. on ebay for 815. It has a front blade and deck with it but it is very rough and does not even run. I would take any powermax I could get for under 1000. Where they all at levi?sm01
